Memories of the Casey Family

On Friday, February 25, 2011, the students and teachers at Casey Community School held a memorial service to commemorate the one year anniversary of the tragic plane crash that took the lives of Mr. Mike, Ms. Jill, Makayla, Bryce, and Sir Barry Bowen. Suleima, a Standard IV student who was particularly close to Mr. Mike and Ms. Jill, wrote this poem for the service. Memories of the Casey Family

By Suleima, Standard IV You are someone who was there when we needed you. You helped me in the good things and the bad things. You always made me smile in the good things and the bad things. Now that I know that you are not near me to make me smile, my heart has a missing piece that I’ll never fill over again without your examples. But I’ll always smile even though you’re not here.
